<p>Brown’s Bay Resort and Marina is seeking a dependable, hands-on <b>Marina Operations Supervisor</b> to oversee daily marina operations and support a safe, efficient, and welcoming waterfront environment. This role is well suited to an experienced marine professional with strong leadership skills, operational awareness, and a commitment to guest service.</p><p><br></p>Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Oversee daily marina operations, including docks, moorage, fuel dock, and waterfront facilities</li><li>Ensure safe vessel movement, proper mooring practices, and compliance with marina safety standards</li><li>Supervise, train, and schedule marina staff; provide on-site leadership and direction</li><li>Assist guests with docking, moorage, fueling, and marina-related inquiries</li><li>Monitor weather and marine conditions and respond appropriately to changing conditions</li><li>Conduct regular dock inspections and coordinate minor repairs and maintenance</li><li>Enforce marina policies professionally and consistently</li><li>Coordinate with resort management, maintenance, and front desk teams</li><li>Respond to emergencies, incidents, and guest concerns promptly and effectively</li><li>Maintain accurate operational records, incident reports, and daily logs<br></li></ul>Computer Knowledge & Administrative Skills<ul><li>Experience using reservation and marina management systems to manage moorage availability and guest records</li><li>Ability to accurately enter, update, and maintain reservation data</li><li>Familiarity with inventory tracking and ordering systems for marina supplies, fuel, and operational materials</li><li>Ability to monitor stock levels, place inventory orders, and coordinate purchases with management</li><li>Basic proficiency with spreadsheets for tracking inventory usage, deliveries, and reorders</li><li>Comfortable using email and internal communication systems</li><li>Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems for guest transactions is an asset<br></li></ul>Qualifications & Experience<ul><li>Previous experience in marina operations, marine services, or waterfront supervision preferred</li><li>Supervisory or leadership experience considered a strong asset</li><li>Solid knowledge of boating practices, dock operations, and marine safety</li><li>Strong customer service and communication skills</li><li>Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in emergency or high-pressure situations</li><li>Physically capable of working outdoors and assisting with vessels and equipment</li><li>Restricted Operator Certificate Maritime (ROC-M) certification required or willingness to obtain</li><li>First Aid certification preferred<br></li></ul>Work Environment<ul><li>Seasonal position with potential for extension</li><li>Includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays</li><li>Outdoor, waterfront resort setting<br></li></ul>Why Work at Brown’s Bay Resort and Marina<ul><li>Scenic oceanfront work environment</li><li>Supportive, team-oriented workplace</li><li>Opportunity to play a key role in daily marina and resort operations</li><li>On Site accommodations negotiable </li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>How to Apply:</b></p><p>Please apply with your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience to esther@brownsbayresort.com</p>Create Your Resume First
