About the Job<br><br>
JOB SUMMARY: PARTS COORDINATOR:<br>The Parts Coordinator increases the efficiency of the store by ensuring that parts are received, controlled and delivered to appropriate technicians as needed. He/she must be highly organized and must keep excellent documentation, in order to minimize losses. He/she must be able to read and understand the estimate to ensure the parts received match the parts ordered and must communicate well with all production and management staff. Participate in daily production/release meetings in order to provide key information to managerial staff.<br><br>ACCOUNTABILITY & RESPONSIBILITY OF POSITION:<br>Receiving / Inventory of Parts:<ul><li>Receive all parts and verify that the order is accurate and complete and matches the vendor's invoice (Best practice is to do it while the driver is on-site to allow any omissions or damage to be noted and shared with management) </li><li>Mark and store all received parts with proper work order numbers in an appropriate location </li><li>Check for returned parts for that vendor and make sure you get a parts return slip. Ensure all documentation is delivered to front office management </li><li>Upon completion of the repair, return unnecessary parts for credit and document this activity </li><li>Check daily on the status of incoming parts for the next day's orders </li></ul>
<br>Communication with Production and Management Staff:<ul><li>Upon receipt of the correct parts, enter and scan all payable invoices. </li><li>Compare vendor invoice against estimate for accuracy of parts received. </li><li>Detail work as required </li></ul>
<br>Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:<ul><li>Valid status in Canada and can work for any employer without the need of sponsorship</li><li>Keyboarding skills </li><li>Proficient with MS Office and has working knowledge of Summit </li><li>Work independently without close supervision</li><li>Works well with others & a positive work ethic </li><li>Flexible/adaptable to constant change </li><li>Highly organized; ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments </li><li>Ability to prioritize, organize and plan work under own initiative </li><li>Strong communication skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening) </li><li>Motivated and follows instructions </li><li>Works well under pressure </li></ul>
