You'll have the opportunity to experience the entire business life cycle of a private company from inception to growth, maturity and transition. Our team helps our clients design and implement personal and customised service plans that are unique to privately owned entities, entrepreneurs, and high net worth individuals. You'll be assisting the team focus on key issues like wealth management, compliance, equity expansion, divestiture and exit strategies." <br><br>Our PwC Private teams help entrepreneurs, private business owners and family enterprises manage their ownership and growth at every stage, in a way that fits the needs of their business in today's changing global landscape. <br><br>PwC's High Net Worth (HNW) practice is a core part of PwC Private, supporting High Net Worth Individuals and some of Canada's most iconic families with a range of tax and business advisory needs. This cross border role sits within our HNW practice and will be focused on assisting HNW families with cross border tax issues. Specifically, the role will assist in structuring estate planning for families with US citizen family members and also with Canadians having US assets and ties.<p><b>Meaningful work you'll be part of</b> </p><p>As a PwC Cross Border Tax Senior Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to: </p><ul><li>Work closely with other members of the Cross Border Tax team and prepare US and Canadian personal and trust returns for our clients with cross border needs. </li><li>Contribute to an environment where people and technology thrive together to accomplish more than they could apart </li><li>Encourage everyone to have a voice and invite opinion from all, including quieter members of the team </li><li>Initiate and lead open conversations with teams, clients and stakeholders to build trust </li><li>Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct</li></ul>
<p><b>Experience and skills you'll use to solve </b></p><ul><li>Prior experience in dealing with HNW families and their cross-border tax compliance issues </li><li>Canadian CPA, US CPA, or Enrolled Agent considered an asset </li><li>Basic understanding of Canadian and US personal tax considerations for HNW clients with corporations, trusts and hybrid entities </li><li>Strong research, analytical, organization, and communication skills, the ability to work effectively under pressure, and a proactive attitude </li><li>Fluency in French and full business proficiency in English is required</li><li>PwC Canada is committed to cultivating an inclusive, hybrid work environment.
