This role is ideal for someone with <b><strong>10+ years of experience</strong></b> in <b><strong>manufacturing environments</strong></b>, particularly in <b><strong>automotive</strong></b> or <b><strong>industrial automation</strong></b>, who can manage complex, technical projects from kickoff to installation with confidence and clarity.</p><p>The successful candidate will thrive in <b><strong>fast-paced</strong></b>, <b><strong>on-site project environments</strong></b>, and must possess strong <b><strong>organizational</strong></b>, <b><strong>customer-facing</strong></b>, and <b><strong>problem-solving</strong></b> skills. They should be comfortable taking ownership of a project once it&#39;s handed off from pre-sales and coordinating cross-functional teams through design, build, install, and commissioning.</p><p><b><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></b></p><ul><li>Lead the execution of <b><strong>automation</strong></b>, <b><strong>robotics</strong></b>, and <b><strong>material handling</strong></b> projects, including <b><strong>conveyor systems</strong></b>, <b><strong>robotic cells</strong></b>, and <b><strong>control system upgrades</strong></b></li><li>Serve as the primary liaison between <b><strong>internal engineering teams</strong></b>, <b><strong>suppliers</strong></b>, and <b><strong>external customers</strong></b></li><li>Create and manage detailed <b><strong>project schedules</strong></b>, <b><strong>budgets</strong></b>, and <b><strong>resource plans</strong></b> using <b><strong>Microsoft Project</strong></b> and <b><strong>Excel</strong></b></li><li>Monitor project KPIs, labor, material costs, and timelines to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery</li><li>Coordinate installation activities on-site, ensuring <b><strong>minimal disruption to production</strong></b> and effective <b><strong>stakeholder communication</strong></b></li><li>Handle <b><strong>unexpected issues during installs</strong></b> with a cool head and clear leadership</li><li>Lead regular project meetings with customers, including engineers, managers, and directors</li><li>Communicate technical information effectively and assertively in high-pressure situations</li><li>Collaborate with team members on <b><strong>electrical drawings</strong></b>, <b><strong>CAD models</strong></b>, and <b><strong>robot tooling reviews</strong></b></li><li>Support post-install activities and ensure customer satisfaction</li></ul><p><b><strong>Qualifications</strong></b></p><ul><li>Minimum <b><strong>10 years of project management experience</strong></b> in <b><strong>automation</strong></b>, <b><strong>robotics</strong></b>, or <b><strong>manufacturing environments</strong></b></li><li>Prior hands-on experience in <b><strong>maintenance</strong></b>, <b><strong>plant engineering</strong></b>, or <b><strong>industrial services</strong></b> is highly preferred</li><li>Strong background in <b><strong>electrical</strong></b>, <b><strong>mechanical</strong></b>, or <b><strong>controls engineering</strong></b> is an asset</li><li>Proven ability to manage high-value, multi-disciplinary projects from kickoff to close</li><li>Familiarity with <b><strong>industrial robotics</strong></b>, <b><strong>PLC systems</strong></b>, <b><strong>integration</strong></b>, and <b><strong>material handling equipment</strong></b></li><li>Strong skills in <b><strong>Microsoft Excel</strong></b>, <b><strong>Microsoft Project</strong></b>, and the broader <b><strong>Microsoft Office Suite</strong></b></li><li>Experience with <b><strong>ERP or SAP-like systems</strong></b> for tracking and managing resources</li><li>Ability to <b><strong>read electrical schematics</strong></b> and interpret <b><strong>CAD files</strong></b> for basic measurements and planning</li><li>Must be confident in leading discussions with senior client stakeholders and making field-level decisions</li><li>Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines</li><li>Willingness and flexibility to travel based on project needs (approximately 30–50%)</li></ul><p><b><strong>Nice to Have</strong></b></p><ul><li>Exposure to <b><strong>packaging</strong></b> or <b><strong>food automation systems</strong></b></li><li>Understanding of <b><strong>supply chain</strong></b>, <b><strong>logistics</strong></b>, and <b><strong>installation coordination</strong></b></li><li>Basic experience with <b><strong>robot tooling</strong></b>, <b><strong>fixture design</strong></b>, or <b><strong>integration work</strong></b></li></ul><p><b><strong>Work Environment & Travel</strong></b></p><p>This is an <b><strong>onsite-focused role</strong></b> with some remote project planning flexibility. Travel is required based on the needs of the project. While most work may be local for months at a time, certain projects may involve travel to the <b><strong>U.S.</strong></b> or internationally (<b><strong>e.g., New York, Michigan</strong></b>).
