<p>AWD is a civil contracting company specializing in heavy civil utility installations, including sewer, watermain, stormwater systems, and related infrastructure projects.</p><p><br></p><p>The Project Manager is responsible for planning and supervising a wide range of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring a project is flawlessly managed and done right the first time. You will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner, within schedule, ensuring each project meets the required GP%.</p><p><br></p><p>A qualified candidate must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results.</p><p><br></p><p>The ideal candidate should have experience in handling construction supervisors and workers, a good understanding of civil construction, understand project documents including blueprints, elevations, specifications, and soils reports and will have an analytical mind, ability to multi-task and have great organizational skills.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Collaborate with engineers, architects, etc. to determine the specifications of the project</li><li>Negotiate contracts with suppliers and external vendors to setup contracts for projects to reach profitable agreements</li><li>Manage crews, ensuring that there is enough labour</li><li>Provide direction and strategy for site crews</li><li>Identify extras; Capitalize and secure purchase orders for extras</li><li>Coordinate schedules with clients, subcontractors, and company staff</li><li>Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities</li><li>Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations</li><li>Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met</li><li>Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Why join us?</b></p><p>At AWD, you’re more than just a number – you’re part of a close-knit team where your voice is heard and your contributions truly matter.
