This is a newly created role tied directly to continued growth of the business and their market share. The business is known for strong internal culture, long-standing customer relationships, and steady, well-managed expansion.<br><br> The Sales Manager will bring structure, clarity, and momentum to the sales function while working closely with operations to improve execution, service levels, and customer outcomes. This role suits a leader who balances hands-on involvement with the team and key customers, while defining and executing on strategic plans within the market (Ontario).<br><br> Reporting to a senior executive group with a clear vision and growth mindset, the Sales Manager will help strengthen the existing sales team and, over time, support the addition of specialized roles focused on key markets and segments. The objective is disciplined growth that protects service quality and operational performance.<br><br> Customer service, reliability, and accountability are central to how this business operates. These values guide decision-making and continue to support its position as a trusted supplier in the building materials market.<br><br><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES<br /></strong><br /><ul><li>Lead and develop an established outside sales team with a focus on accountability, consistency, and results</li><li>Drive profitable revenue growth across existing and emerging markets</li><li>Partner closely with operations to align sales commitments with delivery and service capabilities</li><li>Support market development initiatives and strategic customer relationships</li><li>Contribute to sales planning, forecasting, and performance management</li><li>Collaborate with marketing and leadership to ensure sales activity supports company priorities</li><li>Lead from the front while building a scalable sales structure for future growth</li><li>This is a hands-on leadership role that combines direct coaching, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration</li></ul><br />BACKGROUND<br /><ul><li>7 to 10 years of progressive sales experience</li><li>Minimum 3 years in a sales management role leading an outside sales team</li><li>Background in building products, trade supply, or elsewhere involved with the construction supply chain</li><li>Strong commercial judgement and comfort working closely with operations, senior leadership, and key customers</li><li>Proven ability to mentor, develop, and retain high-performing sales professionals</li></ul><br><br><strong>WHY THIS ROLE<br /></strong><br /> This position offers real scope and influence with an established, growing, and influential organization.
