<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><strong>Senior Accountant</strong><br><br> Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to support financial operations across its Canadian and U.S. divisions. This role is responsible for full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. The successful candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, experience in public practice or multi-entity businesses, and a collaborative mindset to help scale operations and improve financial processes.<br><br><strong>Your success will be defined by your ability to: </strong><br /><ul><li>Manage end-to-end accounting processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations</li><li>Prepare comprehensive month-end and year-end financial reports, including supporting documentation for external audits</li><li>Submit GST/PST filings and ensure adherence to Canadian tax laws</li><li>Maintain and update capital asset records, applying depreciation methods accurately</li><li>Generate internal financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basis for management review</li><li>Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities</li><li>Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely transactions</li><li>Work closely with internal departments to ensure proper expense allocation and coding</li><li>Review payroll and multi-currency transactions across various provinces on a bi-weekly basis</li><li>Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement efficiency improvements</li><li>Guide and mentor junior accounting staff while participating in cross-functional projects</li></ul><strong>Your strengths include: </strong><br /><ul><li>Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field</li><li>3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a dynamic or multi-entity environment</li><li>3-5 years of experience in public practice or accounting firms</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software</li><li>Experience with QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (an asset)</li><li>Strong understanding of Canadian tax regulations (GST/PST)</li><li>Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines</li><li>Comfortable working independently and collaboratively</li></ul> If you are interested in this role and meet the above criteria, please click the "<strong>Apply</strong>" button to send your resume directly to <strong>Eric Motuzas.</strong><br><br><strong>Recruitment Partners Inc</strong>. is an Alberta-based, Alberta-focused recruitment firm.
