The organization values hands-on leadership, teamwork, and developing employees at every level.</p><p>This role is ideal for a hands-on, floor-based leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys developing people while driving performance.</p><p><br /></p><p>What You’ll Do</p><p>As the Shift Supervisor – Fabrication & Packaging, you will be responsible for balancing people, equipment, and materials on shift to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. You will work closely with Fabrication and Packaging Leads, Maintenance, Shipping, and Quality teams to keep operations running smoothly while building a strong, engaged workforce.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Lead by example in alignment with established core values</p></li><li><p>Actively supervise on the floor—coaching, supporting, and holding employees accountable</p></li><li><p>Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of approximately 40 direct reports</p></li><li><p>Ensure shift productivity targets are met while maintaining safety and quality standards</p></li><li><p>Review daily production requirements and communicate plans clearly to the team</p></li><li><p>Monitor fabrication and packaging operations, ensuring proper instructions and quality checks are followed</p></li><li><p>Identify skill gaps, provide coaching, and support employee development and career progression</p></li><li><p>Promote a positive, respectful, and collaborative work environment</p></li><li><p>Conduct daily shift handovers covering WIP, staffing, priorities, NCRs, and equipment status</p></li><li><p>Coordinate manpower coverage, manage attendance, and approve timesheets in Dayforce</p></li><li><p>Work closely with Maintenance to report equipment issues and ensure work orders are entered</p></li><li><p>Participate in incident investigations, NCR root cause analysis, and corrective actions</p></li><li><p>Ensure first-offs are completed and quality standards are consistently met</p></li><li><p>Support cross-training, continuous improvement, and housekeeping standards</p></li><li><p>Set the next shift up for success through clear communication, material readiness, and cleanliness</p></li><li><p>Perform other duties as assigned</p></li></ul><p>What You Bring</p><p>Experience & Education</p><ul><li><p>Post-secondary diploma or degree in a technical field preferred, or equivalent experience</p></li><li><p>Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment</p></li><li><p>Experience in aluminum, metal manufacturing, fabrication, or machining preferred<br />(open to other manufacturing industries such as plastics, consumer goods, building materials, or food)</p></li></ul><p>Technical & Leadership Skills</p><ul><li><p>Strong, people-focused leadership style with a continuous improvement mindset</p></li><li><p>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</p></li><li><p>Proven ability to coach, develop, and engage teams</p></li><li><p>Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, safety, and quality systems</p></li><li><p>Ability to read measurements, tolerances, and basic geometry (blueprint reading an asset)</p></li><li><p>Strong problem-solving, planning, and decision-making skills</p></li><li><p>Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with systems such as EPICS is an asset</p></li><li><p>Health & Safety certification is an asset</p></li></ul><p>The Kind of Leader You Are</p><ul><li><p>Active, visible, and engaged on the floor</p></li><li><p>Fair, respectful, and accountable</p></li><li><p>Positive, energetic, and approachable</p></li><li><p>Calm under pressure and adaptable to change</p></li><li><p>Passionate about developing people and improving processes</p></li></ul><p>Core Values</p><ul><li><p>Respect & Fairness</p></li><li><p>Passion for Progress</p></li><li><p>Ownership</p></li><li><p>Unity</p></li><li><p>Humility</p></li><li><p>Development & Growth</p></li></ul><p>To apply please email your resume to Syndel Gerlings at <span >sgerlings@fuzehr.com</span></p><p><br /></p><p>#OPSK </p></p></p>Create Your Resume First
