<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Salary: <br /><p>The Toronto Blue Jays are seeking an experienced sous chef to fulfill an opening within our Major League kitchen.</p><p><br /></p><p>This is a part-time contract, seasonal role aligned with the baseball season and schedule, spanning from approximatelyMarch 2026 to November 2026.</p><p><br /></p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Food preparation and quality control</li><li>Inventory and stock management for assigned area</li><li>Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food</li><li>Supervise activities of specialist chefs, cooks and other kitchen workers</li><li>Process and organize weekly food shipments and restock grocery shelves when needed</li><li>Help in the development and implementation of meal design</li><li>Ensure that food products, presentation, and preparation are of the highest quality, and are prepared to serve in a timely manner</li></ul><p><br />Qualifications</p><ul><li>Minimum 2-5 years cooking experience in a fine dining environment and experience in a culinary leadership role preferred</li><li>Proven experience as a chef in the sport or restaurant industry</li><li>Exceptional culinary skills and knowledge of diverse cuisines</li><li>Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills</li><li>Positive and approachable</li><li>Ability to work within a team and complete tasks as assigned by the Executive chef</li><li>Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends</li><li>Food Handling certification required</li><li>Proven experience working long hours including early mornings, late nights, weekdays, weekends and holidays</li><li>Long shifts of restaurant work may require standing, moving around, and lifting</li></ul><ul><li>Experience working within the professional or collegiate sports setting</li><li>Basic understanding of sports nutrition</li><li>Experience in Latin cuisine and ingredients</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Salary:The anticipated base compensation for this role is $24.00 per hour.</p><p><br /></p><p>Position Status:New</p><p><br /></p><p><em>Blue Jays has a strong commitment to diversity, accessibility and inclusion.
