<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Salary: $86,500.00 per annum<br /><p>Company operating name: WJ Groundwater Canada Ltd.</p><p></p><p>Company business address: 253-250 Eglinton Avenue West, Toronto, ON, M4R 1A7.</p><p></p><p>Title of the position: Water Management Engineer (NOC 21300)</p><p></p><p>Job duties:</p><p></p><ul><li>Identify and following up new business leads - ensuring enquiries are logged and responded to, including organizing site and client visits.</li><li>Confer with clients and other members of the engineering team and conduct research to determine project requirements.</li><li>Conduct technical analyses of survey, field data, and construction design drawings.</li><li>Evaluate and recommend an appropriate technical solution for the project as per standard water management engineering calculations.</li><li>Plan, design, and cost dewatering, unwatering, and by-pass pumping systems.</li><li>Develop specifications and dewatering plans for dewatering, unwatering, and by-pass pumping systems,</li><li>Ensure designs meet any local (or other applicable) regulatory requirements related to taking and discharging water,</li><li>Propose appropriate monitoring solutions for dewatering, unwater, and bypass pumping projects,</li><li>Propose, plan, contract, and supervise subcontracted site investigation work.</li><li>Act as the key point of contact for clients throughout the design and tender process.</li><li>Develop and implement strategies for following up quotations, maintaining contact with the client and tracking the progress of technical and commercial proposals.</li><li>Negotiate contracts, terms and conditions, methodologies, attendances and change orders.</li><li>Review costs and sales performance and present data at management and sales meetings.</li><li>To be responsible for own health and safety and that of colleagues in accordance with current construction guidance and relevant national legislation for our activities.<br /></li></ul><p></p><p>Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-Time</p><p></p><p>The language of work: English</p><p></p><p>Wage: $86,500.00 per annum</p><p></p><p>Benefits package being offered: Health benefits, life insurance, disability insurance, healthcare spending account, employer-matched retirement savings plan.</p><p></p><p>Location of work: Toronto, Ontario</p><p></p><p>Contact information to apply for the job: Claudia Tai, <span >ClaudiaTai@wjgl.com</span></p><p></p><p>Skills requirements:</p><ul><li>Required education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or in a related engineering discipline (ex: geotechnical, water systems, hydrogeological).<br /></li><li>A relentless enthusiasm and tenacity to pursue commercial opportunities.</li><li>A firm understanding of Hydrogeology, Engineering Geology and Civil Engineering.</li><li>The ability to plan and organize own workload.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy while working with complex information and precise details.</li><li>Understanding of business development and marketing strategies.</li><li>Commercial awareness, ideally including knowledge of construction industry contracts.</li><li>Competent user of Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate complicated and sensitive concepts, both verbally and written, is an essential requirement.</li><li>Resourcefulness, initiative, and the ability to work unsupervised</li><li>Experience with pumping equipment and water treatment is considered an asset.<br /></li></ul><p></p><p>Required work experience:</p><ul><li>Minimum of 2 years experience within the construction industry in a similar role.</li><li>Minimum 7 years experience related to civil engineering.<br /></li></ul></p></p>Create Your Resume First
