Our management teams are customized to meet each client's unique sector requirements and project goals, ensuring excellence in both execution and safety.  At JVD Installations Inc., we live our core values: Take Care of Each Other, Build Great Things, Be Innovative and Have Fun </p><p><em>DESCRIPTION OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES</em></p><ul><li>Set up and operate CNC milling equipment (VMC/HMC experience an asset)</li><li>Own jobs from setup → prove-out → production → inspection</li><li>Read prints, understand tolerances, and perform in-process checks</li><li>Troubleshoot machining issues (tool wear, chatter, finish, tolerance drift)</li><li>Manage tooling/offsets and support process improvements</li><li>Read, edit, and debug G-code at the machine to ensure safe, stable production</li><li>Keep a clean, safe, organized workspace and support team workflow</li></ul><p>SKILLS & TRADE QUALIFICAITONS</p><ul><li>Journeyman Machinist or 3rd-Year Apprentice (or equivalent experience)</li><li>CNC milling experience with setups and offsets</li><li>Strong blueprint reading and measuring skills</li><li>G-code required: ability to read/interpret and make controlled edits/debug fixes</li><li>Reliable, coachable, and collaborative</li><li>Self Starter and confidence in working in a fast paced shop </li><li>Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems</li></ul><p>SKILLS TO BE CONSIDERED AN ASSETS</p><ul><li>CAM exposure (Mastercam or similar)</li><li>Familiarity with Fanuc-style controls (or comparable)</li><li>Fixture/work holding experience; probing/tool setters/macros</li></ul><p>Position Information</p><ul><li>Located in the Edmonton Area</li><li>$43.01 (JM Hourly Rate - Note: Apprentice Rate are as follows = 4th year is 90% of JM -  80% is 3rd year, 70% is 2nd year and 60% is 1st year)</li><li>5/2 Rotation Schedule</li><li>Must have valid driver's license & own reliable transportation </li><li>Travel may be required in the Edmonton Area</li><li>Full-time</li></ul>
