<p><h3>Overview</h3>
<p><b>Director of Operations</b> – <b>Location:</b> Greater Vancouver (in-office with regular branch travel) | <b>Reports to:</b> President | <b>Direct Reports:</b> Branch Operations Leaders, Supply Chain</p>
<p><b>Compensation:</b> $145,000–$165,000 base salary + performance bonus, vehicle allowance, benefits, and vacation</p>
<h3>About the Company</h3>
<p>Our client is a well-established, multi-branch distribution organization operating across Western Canada. With continued growth and increased operational complexity, the business is seeking a Director of Operations to bring structure, consistency, and accountability across branch operations and supply chain functions.</p>
<p>This role is central to the organization’s success. Operations is the engine of the business, and this leader ensures the company delivers on its commitments to customers, employees, and stakeholders.</p>

<p>Operations is the backbone of the company. This role exists to strengthen execution across branches, align sales and operations, improve visibility through KPIs and reporting, and ensure safety, financial discipline, and operational excellence are embedded throughout the organization.</p>
<p>You are the link between strategy and execution — ensuring what is promised gets delivered.</p>
<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>
<p><b>Business & Branch Support</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead monthly branch financial reviews and performance discussions</li>
<li>Oversee monthly safety meetings, JHSC programs, and compliance initiatives</li>
<li>Lead annual budgeting and forecasting in partnership with leadership</li>
<li>Conduct semi-annual performance reviews for operational leaders</li>
<li>Support recruiting, hiring, performance management, and terminations as needed</li>
<li>Oversee building, fleet, and equipment asset management</li>
<li>Prepare and present regular operational reporting to the leadership team</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Business Operations Leadership</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Establish, track, and manage operational KPIs across branches</li>
<li>Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with branch leaders</li>
<li>Provide day-to-day operational support to branches as issues arise</li>
<li>Lead employee training, coaching, and development initiatives</li>
<li>Execute tactical operational projects and process improvements</li>
<li>Conduct regular branch visits and operational audits</li>
<li>Participate in monthly leadership team meetings</li>
<li>Maintain bi-weekly one-on-ones with the President</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Business Growth & Strategy</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Support annual planning, goal setting, and performance reviews</li>
<li>Lead CAPEX planning and execution</li>
<li>Participate in annual strategy off-sites and long-term operational planning</li>
</ul>
<h3>Candidate Profile</h3>
<p><b>Experience</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Senior operations leadership experience within distribution, manufacturing, building materials, or related industries</li>
<li>Proven ability to lead multi-site operations and supply chain functions</li>
<li>Strong financial acumen with experience reviewing branch P&Ls, budgets, and KPIs</li>
<li>Hands-on leader comfortable operating in fast-paced, under-structured environments</li>
<li>Experience driving operational discipline, process improvement, and accountability</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Education</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field</li>
<li>Lean Six Sigma certification or formal training in Operational Excellence strongly preferred</li>
</ul>
